Took some great action shots of birds flying and diving with my Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS EF USM lens at the park on Sunday. I'll post them soon!

Illustrator CS4: "Getting Started" Tutorial Complete!

~ 01/30/10 ~

Well, it's the start of a new year and a fresh chance to get back in touch with my artistic side. My biggest goal with 2010 will be learning Adobe Illustrator CS4. I recommend checking out www.lynda.com if you're ever in need of some tutorials to jump start your creative ambitions. You'll have to become a member but the information is invaluable.

I've also heard great things about Kelby Training. On December 02, 2009 I attended the Adobe Creative Suite Unleashed Tour in Washington, DC lead by RC Concepcion and Dave Cross. They had a lot of interesting pointers and I definitely felt inspired to revamp my portfolio after hearing them speak.

So, in conclusion, check back soon for (what will hopefully be) examples of my new-found vector skills and maybe a new painting or two in the months to come.

Click here to check out photos for Pups On Parade Gala and Live Auction or click Gallery (for sale) > Event Gallery > Fetch A Cure 2009. Fetch A Cure had a great turnout! I met Walker Allen, another animal-loving photographer, who captured the glitz and glamour of the night on his Canon 30D. Email me if you have any questions zeesage@gmail.com. A portion of the proceeds from photo sales will be donated to FETCH for all the wonderful work they're doing. Thanks!

At last! My new site design is up and running. Still working out a few kinks (the hamsters will go without dinner tonight, I assure you that) but all in all I'm very pleased with the renovation. I couldn't have done it without the aid of the hamster king himself, Pat. So thank you, Pat!

The design looks inspired by rainbow road, and maybe on some level it was because I can finally stay on the course in Wii. I was really after a look that was more fitting of the art I enjoy. Something a little sureal, a little gothic, above all else a delicate fantasyscape. So look around a little and contact me at zeesage@gmail.com to let me know what you think!
